Van Halen formed in 1974 and changed the rock and roll world forever. Their self titled 1978 debut album spawned songs that remain some of the strongest and most influential rock songs ever written. With more than 75 million albums sold worldwide, and more number one hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart than any other artist, the band’s record of achievement is hard to top.
Van Halen’s self titled debut and 1984 were both certified Diamond and placed them on an elite short life of double RIAA-certified Diamond Award Honorees. Van Halen was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
Van Halen is embarking on a North American tour this summer with the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. The tour will feature some of the bands forever lasting classic rock and roll songs.
