Zola Jesus Announces Summer 2015 Tour Dates

Zola Jesus announced dates for her summer 2015 tour which is set to begin June 2. The first tour location is set at the Red Bull Sound Select festival in Portland, Or at Mississippi Studios.

News of these additional 12 tour dates arrive just a few months after Zola Jesus concluded her spring 2015 tour. This tour was in support of her 2014 album, Taiga which was released via Mute. The album received rave reviews including the LA Times describing it as, “large with cavernous, invigorating synth–wave sound.” Alongside the album, Zola Jesus recently designed perfume and incense called TAIGA that she has been selling on tour. More information about her perfumes and incense can be found here.

So far during 2015, Zola Jesus released a new music video for her single “Hunger,” an upbeat bone-shattering banger that got crowds jumping to the music when she performed it live. Additionally, she released the brand new single “Compass” in February.

Nika Roza Danilova AKA Zola Jesus had an interest in music from a very early age. What first drew her in was opera, but it did not take long for the artist to find her true calling and transition into the singing she s known for today. In 2008, she released her two debut singles, “Poor Sons” and “Soeur Sewer.” Her first debut full-length album, The Spoils was dropped a year later. Since then, Zola Jesus has consistently released albums and never keeps her fans waiting between them. She released albums Stridumlum II (2010), Conatus (2011), Versions (2013), and Taiga in 2014.
