New Jersey native heavy metal band Danzig will be performing at the Fox Theatre Pomona on July 11. The band formed in 1987 and currently consists of Glenn Danzig (vocals), Tommy Victor (guitar), Johnny Kelly (drums), and Steve Zing (bass). The band has released nine studio albums, the most recent being 2010’s Deth Red Sabaoth.
The band was created by singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig , and is often seen as the third stage in Glenn Danzig’s musical career, preceded by the punk band The Misfits and the deathrock band Samhain. Danzig the band is famous for its bluesy-doom style and gothic metal influences, as well as hard rock and heavy metal. The lyrics fuse dark lyrics and imagery together.
Danzig Glenn Danzig said that new material would be recorded with Tommy Victor and Johnny Kelly after the 25th anniversary tour. The band began recording songs for their tenth studio album. Be sure to catch Danzig at the Fox Theatre in Pomona in July.
