London native Jessie J will bring the electro pop and R&B to Club Nokia on May 18. Jessie J has won awards including the 2011 Critics’ Choice BRIT Award and the BBC’s Sound of 2011. Her latest album Sweet Talker was released last year.
She began a solo career after working as a songwriter and backing vocalist for artists such as Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera. Her debut album Who You Are was released in 2011 and charted high on many charts such as #2 on UK Albums Chart and #4 on Australia, Irish and Zealand Charts. Her second album Alive released in 2013 also did well, earning Gold certification from the UK recording industry.
Jessie J’s latest release has her joining forces with Diplo, The-Dream, and Pharrell. The lead single “Bang Bang” features herself with Arianna Grande and Nicki Minaj. The song debuted at number one in the U.K. and became a Top 10 hit in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Bulgaria. Be sure to catch Jessie J as she visits Club Nokia in May.
