Pattern is Movement (Farewell Tour) @ Johnny Brenda’s 6/20

Philly band, Pattern is Movement, have announced some sad news. Their upcoming tour will be a farewell tour, as the band is breaking up at the end of their June engagements. The duo, of Andrew Thiboldeaux and Chris Wardfirst met 22 years ago. In the time since they played their first show, 13 years ago, Pattern is Movement have gone on to release four albums. Last year they released their much raved about self-titled release.

Pattern is Movement’s farewell tour kicks off at the beginning of June in North Carolina. The experimental pop duo will travel up and down the East Coast/Midwest before ending things right where it all began at Johnny Brenda’s on June 20th. For their farewell show at JB’s, Pattern is Movement will welcome openers Dream Safari and Norwegian Arms. In announcing their final round of shows, the band wrote on their Facebook page: “It’s with a heavy but joyful heart that we let you know Pattern is Movement will say goodbye after 13 years with a June tour. We want to thank you all for all the love and support throughout these years.”

In addition to their final tour, Pattern is Movement also have an upcoming Shaking Through session, which will air in Mid-may. Make sure to look out for that, and in the meantime, grab your tickets for the pair’s June 20th show at Johnny Brenda’s.
