Unknown Mortal Orchestra released a new song titled “Can’t Keep Checking My Phone” that will be off of the upcoming Multi Love project. Multi Love will be in stores on May 25th.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s new track, “Can’t Keep Checking My Phone” is a catchy tune that captures the listener into the groovy feel of the track. The band begins the track with an infectious drum pattern that breathes the need to dance into you. The smooth vocals laid down by Ruban Nielson glides over the funk-like progression of the baseline accompanying melody. The songs lyrics boil down to restraining from the hypnotizing connection we feel to our phones sometimes. Moreover how hard it is to not think about that someone we are expecting or waiting for a message from. It is a terribly ambiguous “pit-in-your-stomach” feeling that Unknown Mortal Orchestra capitalizes on to create this amazing song.
Earlier this year UMO released the follow up to their song, “SB-01”, with “SB 02”. Unknown Mortal Orchestra will begin their tour to support the Multi Love album in May, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra going on mini tour in the UK this fall, and the dates to both along with ticket information can be seen below.
