Run the Jewels brought out a variety of guests during their Saturday set, beginning with Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against the Machine. Boots, Travis Barker and Gangsta Boo also surprised audience members by popping up during the show.
Each surprise guest played one song with the rap duo. First, they performed “Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)” with Zack De La Rocha.
Run the Jewels just released video for the song in March. The video focuses on the especially current and controversial topic of racially-motivated violence.
Boots came on next, playing guitar and singing the song he did with the duo from the new album, Run the Jewels 2, called “Early.” They all performed this song together on Letterman last November.
Travis Barker came out and did his song with them, also from the new albu,m called “All Due Respect.” Gangsta Boo wrapped up the seemingly endless surprises by joining them for a performance of “Love Again.”
Run the Jewels has been on a collaboration kick lately, announcing in February that they have been working in the studio with Massive Attack.
