Portland Oregon alternative rock band Everclear will be playing at Club Nokia LA LIVE on August 13. The band was at its highest popularity when the lineup consisted of lead songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Art Alexakis, bassist Craig Montoya, and Greg Eklund on drums from 1994 to 2003. The band’s first three albums were released on Capitol Records and all three achieved platinum status in sales.
Montoya and Eklund left the band shortly after in 2003. During that time, Alexakis ventured on a brief 2003 solo acoustic tour and remained as the sole member of the band. By then the band was off Capitol Records and back in the indie world. A new version of Everclear would emerge and in 2006 it release Welcome to the Drama Club on Eleven Seven Music.
Since then, the band has had a changing lineup in recent years. The band’s most recent album release was Invisible Stars released on June 26, 2012. It debuted at #119 on the Billboard 200. Check out the ever-changing Everclear as they continue their Summerland Tour alongside Toadies, Fuel & American Hi-Fi at Club Nokia in August.
