One of Canada’s biggest metal festivals of the year has just announced its 2015 lineup. Take a look at the bands playing at this year’s event.
Heavy Montreal is known for gathering up some of the most diverse and talented acts in the metal world today, and this year’s festival is no exception to the rule. Concertgoers will get to see Slipknot, Faith No More, Lamb of God, Korn and many other metal titans this summer in Canada.
This year’s Heavy Montreal will take place on August 7th, 8th and 9th. The huge outdoor event will be housed at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal. As one of the largest summer festivals in North America, the venue is set to host the dozens of bands on the roster.
For the 2015 iteration of the festival, we’ll see Faith No More perform as one of the headliners. It’s one of many stops on Faith No More’s touring list this year. The band has announced dozens of spring and summer 2015 tour dates recently, many of which are in Europe. Their gig at Heavy Montreal will be one of their stops on the North American leg of the tour. Faith No More also announced a new album this year, and debuted a new song at one of their live shows in Japan. While it’s unclear whether the band will perform any new songs at this year’s Heavy Montreal, fans might hear their latest track “Superhero.”
Slipknot also announced spring 2015 tour dates along with their stop in Montreal. Take a look at our review of their latest release right here.
Meanwhile, Lamb of God released the documentary As The Palaces Burn on DVD this fall. They’ve announced they are working on a new album, but for now have just been touring.
