It’s not everyday that someone so well known and popular suddenly announces a tour that starts next week, But sometimes it does happen. And for Prince, the time to announce an unexpected US tour is now.
Consequence of Sound released an article detailing the announcement and the nature of the tour.
With a name like the Hit and Run Tour, it isn’t hard to guess that the future concerts won’t be announced too far in advance. Prince has done this in the past, specifically in UK and Europe.
The first concert is March 14 in Louisville, Kentucky. The venue details have not yet been revealed, but those tickets do go on sale Monday, March 9th at 10:00 a.m. local time through Live Nation.
With no other dates announced CoS suggests to “keep those credit cards handy.”
