Toluca Lake natives Echosmith will be dropping by the Fonda Theatre in late March as they ride off the popularity of their hit single “Cool Kids,” a song that has been RIAA-certified Platinum and has reached over 29 million views on YouTube. The band consists of Sierota siblings Graham (drums), Noah (bass, backing vocals), Jamie (guitar, backing vocals) and lead singer Sydney who occasionally plays guitars or keys. All members are between ages 16 and 21.
Echosmith formed the band in 2009 and signed to Warner Bros Records in May 2012. To date, they have released one studio album titled Talking Dreams and two EPs that feature mostly songs from that same album. The band has recently toured with Owl City and has appeared on several talk shows including Conan, Ellen and the Today Show.
The year of 2014 has been the best for the band, as they’ve been named ‘artists to watch’ by both MTV and VH1. With their debut album peaking at #1 on the U.S. Top Heatseekers chart, they don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Be sure the catch them in LA later this month!
