Country music star Wynonna Judd is on her way to Austin this year for SXSW 2015. She’ll be participating in the exclusive SXSW Music Conference on Friday, March 20.
NPR’s Ann Powers will be interviewing Judd on a series of topics including the development of her career as well as her plans for the future. The interview will be followed by a performance that evening. Judd will be performing alongside her band, Big Noise, on the intimate St. David’s Bethell Hall stage.
The singer began her whole career in Austin back in the 80’s on Austin City Limits, and has expressed a great deal of enthusiasm about returning to be a part of SXSW this year. She recently stated the following in regard to the upcoming Music Conference: “After 30 years of being an artist, having this opportunity to perform at SXSW with my band is such amazing timing!”
She will also be performing at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville this year.
