Willie Nelson & Family will make a stop at Santa Barbara Bowl on July 22 featuring Jerry Douglas who is known for playing resonator guitar and lap steel guitar. Nelson is one of the most recognized artists in country music. He played an important part in mid-70s post rock ‘n’ roll movement and has released more than 200 albums over his six-decade career.
Joining Nelson is Alison Krauss, the most awarded female artist in Grammy history winning 27 Grammy Awards from 41 nominations. She is one of the most important bluegrass-country musicians ever, famous for her exceptional skills in playing fiddle, piano, and mandolin. She has sold more than 12 million albums to date.
Also joining on stage is Krauss’s band Union Station, consisting of Jerry Douglas (dobro, lap steel, vocals), Dan Tyminski (guitar, mandolin, lead vocal), Ron Block (banjo, guitar) and Barry Bales (bass, vocals). These legendary acts together on stage will make for an unforgettable experience not just for country fans, but for anyone who enjoys watching skillful musicians playing music together.
