Los Angeles band, Smallpools, are one of those hardworking bands that seem to constantly be touring. And 2015 is already proving to be no different than previous years, with the band having scheduled their upcoming Lovetap! Tour. The tour goes down this spring and Smallpools have a ton of great supporting acts including Grizfolk, Hunter Hunted, and Vinyl Theatre joining them as they travel across North America. They’ll make a stop in Philly on April 28th and they’ll have Grizfolk and Vinyl Theatre joining them. You can grab your tickets now!
Since forming in 2013, Smallpools have been riding high off of the success of their debut self-titled EP. The EP, which featured hit track “Dreaming,” helped to catapult their success. The song charted at number one on Hype Machine and reached #23 on Billboard. And now they are finally releasing their long awaited debut full-length. The album, Lovetap, will drop on March 24th and fans of the group have high hops for the new Smallpools material.
While they may have taken a while to release their album, they certainly haven’t been taking much time to relax since their EP dropped back in July of 2013. In fact, Smallpools spent the majority of that time touring across the US. Since their debut release they have toured with the likes of San Cisco, Two Door Cinema Club, Walk the Moon, Neon Trees, and Twenty One Pilots. This year, in addition to their upcoming tour, you can catch the guys when they make a stop at SXSW. You should also make sure to grab your tickets to see them when they finally take the headlining slot, this time at Union Transfer. Get there early and catch opening acts Vinyl Theatre, a band out of Milwaukee. They recently released their debut album, Electrogram. Also opening for Smallpools on April 28th will be Grizfolk, who released their debut EP, From the Spark, one year ago. Their hit single, “The Struggle,” has been gaining a lot of buzz. The band played a show with COIN at World Cafe Live earlier this month. If you missed that show, you can catch them when they return to Philly this April!
