The Vaccines present an ode to kung fu cinema in their latest music video.
Following a three-year hiatus, The Vaccines have finally resurfaced with brand new work debuting never-before-heard songs at a warm-up gig in Brighton earlier in the month—which received an enthusiastic 9/10 review from NME, a press release reports. This comes only mere months after The Vaccines posted a Facebook photo hinting at three possible new song titles.
In addition to the new material, the UK foursome have recently released a new single and accompanying video for “Handsome,” which will appear on their forthcoming record. Directed by Gerson Aguerri, the video follows the band in China as they embark on a Karate Kid-esque tale. Led by their lizard master, the four members viciously train to become martial-arts vigilantes in the hopes of defeating a feared mafia boss. As the director intended, it’s the perfect ode to Hong Kong kung fu movies.
