To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the David Lynch Foundation, various top-tier artists will be performing at the one-night only show “The Music of David Lynch” at The Theatre at Ace Hotel on April 1. The performance will be the first time that David Lynch’s music from his film “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me” and his albums will be played live by his original collaborators. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit foundation in their mission to bring transcendental meditation to people suffering with post traumatic stress disorder.
Lynch is famous for being an American film director, television director, visual artist, musician, actor, and author. Some of his notable works include writing and directing “Twin Peaks,” “Mulholland Drive,” “Blue Velvet,” “The Elephant Man,” and “Eraserhead.” Aside from feature films, Lynch has also directed short films, television series, online series, and music videos and has written and composed several studio albums.
The full lineup of artists for this show includes: Angelo Badalamenti, Chrysta Bell, Donovan, Duran Duran, Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Julee Cruise, Karen O (Yeah Yeah Yeah’s), TenKinny Landrum, Moby, Rob Mathes, Sky Ferreira, Steven Drozd (The Flaming Lips), Tennis, Twin Peaks, Wayne Coyne (The Flaming Lips), and Zola Jesus. Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated arranger/composer and music producer/director Rob Mathes will act as music director for the show.
