The Movielife @ The TLA 3/6

The Movielife split back in 2003, but now they are back and headed out on tour this year. Fans of the band will have a chance to see The Movielife when they arrive in Philly this March to play The TLA. In an announcement on their Facebook page, the band stated, “We, as friends and lovers of music, have found that we would all like to play shows together again as The Movielife.”

After briefly reuniting in 2011, the boys of The Movielife thought they were done for good. Saying, “I thought we’d never do it again. We were pretty definitive that the last show that we played would be the last show that we played.” But alas, they are back, and ready to hit the road this year. They have yet to announce a full reunion tour, but have slowly been announcing shows including a show in New York City this February.

Frontman Vinnie Caruana also made a few appearances around the New York area last year. In addition to playing with his other band I Am the Avalanche, Caruana also played solo shows with Taking Back Sunday’s John Nolan and Thursday’s Geoff Rickly. The Movielife formed way back in 1997. Together, they recorded 3 LPs before their split.
