At the end of the month, Philly rockers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are headed to the Ardmore Music Hall for a headlining gig. You can catch the band when they perform in the area on January 30th .
The band, who met in college, began playing together back in 2004. They are known for having gained their popularity via the Internet and having developed a fanbase before having been signed to a record label. They released their debut self-titled album in 2005, which garnered critical acclaim from various music blogs. They went on to release their follow up in 2007, which debuted at number 47 on the Billboard 200.
They released their fourth full-length album, Only Run, independently in June of this year. They were here in Philly that same month to perform music from the new album. That show took place at the intimate Johnny Brenda’s. Grab your tickets now to see CYHSY when they come back to the area.
Lead singer, Alec Oundworth will be headed out on an extremely intimate solo living room tour which kicks of in February. The PA show will go down on April 6th, but no word yet on where exactly in Pennsylvania that will be happening these cozy 40-50 person shows are taking place in living rooms around the country.
