Moving Units are deep into the early phases of their yet-to-be titled new album. Currently, they are hard at work on the writing process and have begun to track some demos. In a Facebook post from December 31, 2014, the band explained that they’re taking a ‘back 2 basics approach by jamming incessantly’.

What can the fans expect from this new material? Well, according to the post, the song ideas are being carefully crafted into “collaborative floor-shaking GEMS.”

The band will also be releasing more information in the coming days, about their ideas to involve their fans and friends in the new project. But, right now, the band is asking for fans to do the following; first, go onto their social media channels and tell them what you want to hear on the new record. They are actively seeking thoughts and feedback, and you can do this by describing your ultimate dance-rock wishes, mentioning older songs that you’ve liked to give the band a point of reference going forward, or explaining what you liked best and least about past Moving Units recordings. The band is looking to “produce the illest, sexiest and most existentially desperate dance record we’ve ever imagined possible!”, according to the post, but they can’t do it without you!

“Yo yo yo! This is a long post we are super JAZZED to share with you all so PLEASE READ! We have fully delved into writing and demo mode for our NEXT album. We’re taking a back 2 basics approach by jamming incessantly and crafting my raw song ideas into collaborative floor-shaking GEMS. Next step is getting YOU (fans & friends) involved!
Over the next few days we will be rolling out the plan and more details. But FIRST, we’d love to read your thoughts and feedback in the comments below. TELL us what you wanna hear on this record! Mention old songs or new songs for reference. DESCRIBE your ultimate dance rock wish fulfillment. EXPLAIN what you like best AND least about a Moving Units album. CONFESS to us. PLEAD with us. THREATEN to do unspeakably kinky things to us with mashed potato tongs. IMAGINE us in leather pajamas and silk executioner masks. Whatever IT takes. Implore us. INSPIRE us to produce the illest, sexiest and most existentially desperate dance record we’ve ever imagined possible! Do it:”
