For the second year in a row, Australian independent radio station FBi enlisted alternative music’s elite to contribute art that was auctioned off by the station. Held between November 25 and December 2, the proceeds went directly to FBi to help them maintain their no profit status.
As Consequence of Sound is reporting, The annual auction is called “Brush with Fame,” which allows the radio station’s audience to pick up doodles by some of their favorite artists, with bidding starting as low as 50 AUD (roughly 43 USD). Judging by how many artists participated and how high profile they all are, “Brush with Fame” seems like it could easily become an annual event.
Here’s a complete list of the artists (alphabetically): Alt-J, Ásgeir, Banks, Buck 65, Chali 2NA, Chet Faker, DARKSIDE, Dustin Tebutt, Earl Sweatshirt, Ears, El-P, Glass Animals, Holy Fuck, Ice Age, Four Tet, The Jezabels, Jon Hopkins, Killer Mike, Little Dragon, Little May, London Grammar, Lee Ranaldo, Megan Washington, Midlake, Mount Kimbie, Okkervil River, Phantogram, Phoenix, Sky Ferreira, Sly & Robbie, St Vincent, Veronica Falls, Warpaint.
