Incubus Announce Two New Albums for 2015 Release and Debut New Song “Trust Falls”

Incubus has just announced plans to release two connected EPs over the course of 2015, totaling an album’s worth of new material. Additionally, the band debuted a new song entitled “Trust Falls” during a live performance.

Consequence of Sound originally reported that the band is releasing the two EPs without a strict deadline to meet. According to the band’s guitarist Mike Einziger, “Just having no horizon to look at was important for us. We needed that.” Einziger also confirmed that the two EPs would be thematically related, adding, “We’re planning on releasing two installments that will total an album.”

Judging from the new song “Trust Falls” that they played at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas, these two EPs may represent a creative renaissance for the band. Einziger hinted that some of the material that they’re working on will include head-banging rockers, heavy slug fests and more epics like “Trust Falls.” With it’s back and forth energy, tugging between intricate verses and pummeling choruses, “Trust Falls” may be worth the price of admission alone.
