Pentatonix is an American cappella group made up of five vocalists originating from Arlington, Texas. Their work is mostly in the pop music style, and consists of covers of pre-existing songs along with some original material. Their music is defined by their own arrangement style with low bass vocals and a diverse range of vocal percussion.

The groups latest release is, That’s Christmas To Me, which debuted at number nine on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, and is currently number one on its Holiday chart. The album was the quintets second album (the first being PTX Vol. III) to debut in the Top 10 charts in under a month. They’ve recently been featured on The Today Show, The American Music Awards, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Pentatonix gained the majority of their fame through YouTube. They now have nearly seven million subscribers, and are 12th on the most subscribed to list. Their mash up cover of Daft Punk songs “Daft Punk” earned them a Grammy for Best Cover Song of 2014. The video recently reached over 106 million views, and is marked as one of their most popular releases.
