New duo Tetema has released a new music video for their song “Tenz,” which will be on their debut album, Geocidal.
Tetema is a new band featuring Faith No More’s Mike Patton and Australian pianist and composer Anthony Pateras. Their debut album is set for release on December 9 via Ipecac Recordings. The band released their first song, “Tenz,” in October, and the song now has an accompanying video.
Much like the song itself, the “Tenz” video varies in style and is somewhat random. The song is beat-oriented, with a rhythmic sound throughout. The video shows flashing imagery and a spectrum of colors, while also utilizing photo-negative style to highlight certain images. There are scenes of both natural and artificial locations, with the focus shifting back and forth between nature and humans, eventually overlapping the two. Not only do the images flash like a strobe light, but they also seem like they could be part of a horror film, especially with Tetema’s frantic music as a backdrop.
