Charli XCX teamed up with Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran to create, “Kingdom” for The Hunger Games soundtrack.
Charli XCX collaborated with Duran Duran’s, Simon Le Bon to create the song “Kingdom” for The Hunger Games soundtrack. The song will be part of a star-studded album that includes Ariana Grande, Bat for Lashes, among others, all curated by Lorde, as reported on Consequence of Sound.
“Kingdom” showcases a softer, grungier side of Charli XCX, who had done a poppy, upbeat song for The Fault In Our Stars. Her voice takes front and center with emphasis on synths and drums. Le Bon also shares his vocals to the song near the end complimenting Charli’s voice. The song brings the drama and melancholic feel of The Hunger Games.
The soundtrack that will be released on November 17th, also features Lorde’s previously released, “Yellow Flicker Beat” and her cover of “Ladder Song” by Bright Eyes.
