LISTEN: Lorde Covers Bright Eyes’ “Ladder Song” For The Hunger Games Soundtrack

Lorde covered “Ladder Song” by Bright Eyes for The Hunger Games soundtrack.

Lorde, who curated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay soundtrack, covered “Ladder Song” by Bright Eyes that will be part of the tracklist for the movie, as reported on Pretty Much Amazing.

The soft, sadness of the song is still the main focus and Lorde did not go off and completely remake it, so the original simplicity of the song can still be evident only with Lorde adding her style. “Ladder Song” rounds out the soundtrack and gives it the dramatic feel it calls for.

Lorde is no stranger in covering songs. She recently covered Jeremih’s song “Don’t Tell Em” for live lounge at BBC radio. She had also released the video “Yellow Flicker Beat” a couple weeks ago, that will also be part of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay soundtrack.
