Aretha Franklin remains the most charted female in R&B history. The legend has won 18 Grammy Awards and sold over 75 million records, and thankfully shows no sign of slowing down. Her newest album, which was released in September is her 38th studio album to date. The album was instantly met with success, debuting at number 3 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and number 1 on the Billboard R&B Album Chart. Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics is Franklin’s 16th top 20 album. Her last was Who’s Zoomin’ Who? in 1989. With so many hits under her belt, it will be exciting to see what the Queen of Soul chooses to perform when she takes the stage at The Kimmel Center this December.
