Hamilton Leithauser @ Johnny Brenda’s 1/24

Hamilton Leithauser has had a busy year. And now, the former frontman of The Walkmen, has announced a brief North American tour for the beginning of 2015. The tour will begin in Pittsburgh on January 15th and wrap up right here in Philly on January 24th. You can see Hamilton Leithauser when he arrives in Philly on the 24th to play at Johnny Brenda’s.

Leithauser is busy supporting his solo debut, Black Hours, which was released in June of this year. The album features collaborations from members of Vampire Weekend, The Shins, Dirty Projectors, Fleet Foxes, and even his former band, The Walkmen. Fans of Leithauser have a had a few chances to see him perform the new solo material already this year. He played a Free at Noon back in May, followed by a headlining performance at Prince Music Theater in July.

Most recently, Hamilton Leithauser has been out supporting Broken Bells. He opened for them when they played the Electric Factory in September.  But this winter, we’re excited to see Leithauser again take the headlining role. And what better place to see one of your favorite local frontmen, then on the intimate JB’s stage? His upcoming show at Johnny Brenda’s is sure to be a popular one, as the homecoming gig will also serve as the close of his 2015 tour.
