Foo Fighters Announce Summer 2015 Tour Dates

Following a five-day residence on the Late Show with David Letterman, the Foo Fighters have officially confirmed a second Sonic Highways premiere screening and show. Dave Grohl’s hometown of Washington D.C. will serve as the setting of the second episode of the HBO series.

The screening will ensue Friday, October 24th at the Black Cat. Doors will open promptly at 9pm, beginning with a screening of Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways at 10pm. Following the screening, the Foo Fighters will put on a live show.

If you want to nab a spot for the event, tickets will go on sale starting 6pm on Tuesday exclusively at the Black Cat box office located at 1811 14th street NW. The venue will be taking cash only for $20 per ticket with an additional $3 service charge.

After the debut festivities for Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways in Chicago, the band has confirmed that they will return to the Windy City for their first-ever U.S. stadium headline show. The historic Wrigley Field will set the stage for their Chicago show on August 29, 2015. This marks the first show to be announced for what is expected to be a global 2015 stadium tour promoting their forthcoming album, Sonic Highways, set for release November 10.

Tickets for the Foo Fighters’ monumental first-ever headlining stadium tour will go on sale to the public Monday, October 27 at 10am CT here. Pre-sales for members of their fan club will begin Friday, October 24 at 10am CT until Sunday, October 26 at 5pm. Fans interested in presale who are not currently fan club members can sign up to receive pre-sale code here. Note: There is a 4 ticket limit for general admission floor, as well as a 6 ticket limit for the reserved sections – this will be strictly enforced.

Additional tour dates and locations will be announced in the coming weeks.

UPDATE (10/23): Foo Fighters have confirmed Cheap Trick, Naked Raygun, and Urge Overkill to open their Chicago show on August 29, 2015.

UPDATE (10/29): Hey, Nashville! Foo Fighters have announced a surprise Halloween show this Friday, October 31 at Ryman Auditorium. The show will begin promptly at 10 p.m. with a screening of the Nashville episode and a live performance from the band at 11 p.m. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but please refrain from bringing masks. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

UPDATE (10/31): Foo Fighters will return to the land Down Under for a run of stadium tours in February and March of 2015. Chicago punk rock band Rise Against is scheduled to support the band during their Australian tour, along with Melbourne’s The Delta Riggs.

UPDATE (11/3): Foo Fighters have announced a Washington, DC date to add to their slew of summer shows in 2015. Further details will be released Thursday, November 6 at 8am. Tickets will go on sale here Saturday, November 8 at 10am.

UPDATE (11/6): Foo Fighters will be kicking off an Independence Day extravaganza for their 20th anniversary next July 4th at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC! Special guests will include Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr., Heart, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, LL Cool J featuring DJ Z-Trip, Trouble Funk, Trombone Shorty, — plus a BBQ, motorcycle rally, fireworks and more. UPDATE (11/11): Foo Fighters will be making an appearance in the City of Angels at The Roxy this Friday, November 14. The special show will celebrate the L.A. episode of Dave Grohl’s eight-episode HBO docuseries. You can win a pair of tickets to the show by entering via Amoeba Records. UPDATE (11/18): Foo Fighters have finally announced the remaining dates for their biggest North American tour ever. The United Kingdom’s Royal Blood will be supporting the band during their July/August run with the exception of their Indianapolis show on August 27 and their Boston show on July 18, which will feature hometown heroes Mission of Burma. For a chance to snag tickets to the Foo Fighters 2015 tour (and are sick of scalper-bots), tickets will go on sale via the Beat the Bots: Box Office Only Pre-Sale this Saturday at 10am. UPDATE (11/26): Foo Fighters will be playing a show in Seattle THIS FRIDAY, November 28 at The Showbox. Showgoers will also be treated with a screening of Sonic Highways. Tickets will go on sale TODAY, November 26 for $20 + $5 service charge. No tickets will be available for purchase online. There will be 3 locations where fans can purchase tickets: The Showbox (1426 1st Ave.), Easy Street (4559 California Ave. SW), and Sonic Boom (2209 NW Market Street).
