Foxygen is an American indie rock duo from Westlake Village, California. Johnothan Rado and Sam France formed the band in 2005 while they were still in High School. They played experimental music that was influenced from 60s psychedelia and avant-grade. The two self-released multiple EPs before they were discovered by producer Richard Swift. In 2012, the two signed to Jagjaguwar Records and released their first studio album, Take the Kids Off Broadway.

Foxygen released their second album, We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic, in 2013. The album was preceded by the single “Shuggie.” In Spring of 2013, Foxygen was named on of Fuse TV’s 30 must-see artists at the one and only SXSW.

Earlier this year, Foxygen announced their third studio record, …And Star Power, which was released earlier this month on October 14. The first single off their work is titled “How Can You Really.” Foxygen  has a reputation for their eccentric live shows and behavior of lead singer France, who hits himself in the face with the microphone and climbs stage equipment recklessly.
