Common will be headed out on tour this fall. Being dubbed the “Nobody’s Smiling” tour, the tour will kick off on November 21st in Las Vegas and make its way to our area come December. Common will make a stop at The TLA on December 8th. He’ll be bringing along very special guest Jay Electronica for the upcoming tour. So grab your tickets now to catch these two when they head to Philly this December!
Common’s upcoming tour is in support of his newest album, of the same name. Nobody’s Smiling is the artist’s 10th studio album, and it was released this past July. Of the forthcoming 13-city trek, Common said, “I’m excited to be touring because I haven’t in several years and to be doing it with an album like Nobody’s Smiling is giving me a chance to perform the hip-hop that I love.”
Despite still not having a studio album to call his own, Jay Electronica continues to make a name for himself in the hip hop community, gathering support from some of the biggest names in the business. He was a surprise act at the first installment of Made in America, and now he joins Common (a surprise performer at the same festival) for Common’s upcoming tour. In speaking on his opening act, Common said, “To have Jay Electronica on this tour is crazy. He is one of the freshest voices in hip-hop today. He truly is parking the culture.”
