WATCH: Basement Jaxx Releases New Video For “We Are Not Alone”

U.K. electronic music duo Basement Jaxx premiered their brand new video for “We Are Not Alone” off their critically acclaimed seventh studio album Junto. Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buton form the duo that confronts the final frontier of space in this music video.

Buxton told USA Today, “I saw it from the studio. It was a bright, sunny afternoon in London and I saw a flying saucer. Luckily, I was with someone else at the time so people can;t think I’m barking crazy. For me, seeing that UFO opened my eyes, made me think more about looking for the meaning in things, and thinking about my music and purpose. I believe in ghosts and angels and UFOs. It’s up to you if you do, too.”

In a departure from their typically colorful videos like “Never Say Never” and “Unicorn,” the black and white video features the duo with their live band shot in stop motion cut with clips of space shuttles blasting off into space. The spectacle of the spaceship blast offs contrasts well with the live show footage, hinting at some greater meaning to it all in moments of awe or silliness or flashing lights.
