Slipknot Releases Video Featuring New Masks

Along with the forthcoming release of their fifth studio album .5: The Gray Chapter, Slipknot have unveiled their new masks, tradition accompanying every new album from the heavy metal rockers. The big reveal came in the recently released music video to “The Devil In I,” the first single off the band’s first album in six years, the first since the passing of founding bassist Paul Gray. The video debuts the band’s new members, a drummer and a bassist, without revealing their unmasked identities. The two new masked members have not been officially announced, though speculation suggests that Alessandro “Vman” Ventura will being replacing the late bassist for the band. Rumors surrounding the new drummer to replace Joey Jordison suggest Jay Weinberg, son of E Street Band drummer and Conan O’Brien bandleader Max Weinberg.

Buzzfeed took a closer look at the brand new masks for Slipknot’s upcoming live debut at their own three-day festival, Knotfest, in late October before kicking off a North American tour.
