Brantley Gilbert is an AMerican country rock singer-songwriter from Georgia. He is currently signed to Big Machine Records, for which he has released three studio albums. The three albums together have produced six chart entries on the Hot Country Songs charts, of which three have gone number one. Gilbert co-wrote Jason Aldean’s hit singles “My Kinda Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem.”
Gilbert moved to Nashville as a songwriter, and signed to Warner Chappell Publishing. He continued performing at local venues on the side, and in 2009 released his debut album, Modern Day Prodigal Son, under the label Average Joes Entertainment. His follow up album, Halfway to Heaven, was released in 201o.
In 2011, Gilbert signed with Valory Music CO. He then re-released Halfway to Heaven with new recordings and bonus tracks. The album consisted of the singles “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” which both hit number one on the Hot COuntry Songs chart. His single “Kick It in the Sticks” peaked at number 34, and “More Than Miles” at number 7 on Country Airplay. He won the ACM for New Male Artist in 2013. His album, Just as I Am, was released this May. It’s leading single “Bottoms Up,” also reached number one on the charts.
