James Keogh, known by his stage name, Vance Joy, is an Australian singer/songwriter. Vance Joy signed a five album deal with Atlantic Records. His debut studio album will be released in September of this year. Joy has hisa arts/law degree from Monash University, and released his debut EP God Loves You When You’re Dancing, in March of 2013.
The announcement of his latest album was on July 15. The US release date is September 9, and is embarking on a major US tour starting in October. The tour is titled “Dream Your Life Away Tour” after the album, and will kick off in Dallas, Texas. Vance Joy will appear in Austin the day after.
Vance Joy’s single “Riptide” was voted number one on the 2013 Triple J Hottest 100.His single “Mess Is Mine” from his studio debut peaked at number 37 in Australia. “First Time” will be the fourth album off of his single. Dream Your Life Away was recorded in the US with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Foo Fighters, Gossip), and will feature 13 tracks, including singles “Riptide” and “From Afar.”
