The Kooks @ Union Transfer 10/7

British rockers, The Kooks, are headed to Union Transfer, for the first time ever, this October! They’ll release their newest album, Listen, in September. That’s just enough time for you to fall in love with the album before the guys hit the stage on October 7th. Grab your tickets now – you don’t want to miss this one!

The Kooks released their first album, Inside In/Inside Out, in 2006 and they’ve been playing crowd favorite “Naive” ever since. Along with album single “She Moves In Her Own Way,” Inside In/Inside Out quickly brought The Kooks some mainstream success and several award nominations/wins. Their follow-up album, Konk, debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Then came Junk of the Heart in 2012.

Their upcoming release drops on September 1st and frontman Luke Pritchard says the new album is so different from their previous material that they could have renamed the band. You’ll be able to judge for yourself when it drops on September 1st. He says, “The first three albums were chapter one, this album is the first of chapter two.” Together with hip hop producer Inflo, Pritchard produced the album. Take a listen to the track “Forgive & Forget” here. At SXSW in March we were treated to a few of their new tracks like “Bad Habit” and “Around Town.” It will be exciting to see what else they have up their sleeves.
