Ryan Adams has announced a new album, an installment in the Pax-Am 7” series, called 1984. In addition, he has added more dates to his North American tour this fall.
The new album announcement is unrelated to the upcoming release of Adams’ self-titled album in September. Instead, 1984 is a 10-song hardcore album that will contain five tracks per side. Adams aims to pay homage to the earliest releases from Dischord, SST, Touch & Go and similar record companies with 1984.
This latest installment in his 7″ series will be out August 19, even before his other recently announced album. The limited edition album is limited to one per customer, and will ship no later than August 18 for those who order now.
