Charlotte Emma Aitchison, better known by her stage name, Charli XCX, is a british singer/songwriter. She released her single “!Franchesckaaar!” in 2008, which is from her commercially unreleased debut album, 14. She also released the two singles “Emelline” and “Art Bitch.”
In 2010, Charli XCX was signed to This Is Music and IAMSOUND Records. Shortly after signing she released three more singles including, “Stay Away,” “Nuclear Seasons” and “You’re the One,” from her debut EP, You’re the One, which was released in 2012. Her debut studio album, True Romance, was released last April. He next release is to be expected this year.
Charli XCX is a star in her own light, but her most notable hits are “I Love It” by Icona Pop, and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” are songs she co-wrote and feature in as a guest vocalist. Charli’s hit single “Boom Clap” was featured in the summer flick The Fault In Our Stars. The song was released as the album’s first single and has currently peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming both her first charting single and first Top 20 hit as a lead artist.
