Charli XCX w/ Elliphant & FEMME @ The TLA 10/3

You know her from her features on hit tracks like Icona Pop’s “I Love It.” And now, Charli XCX’s vocals can be heard on what is likely the biggest track of the summer, Iggy Azaela’s “Fancy.” But Charli XCX is also a successful artist on her own right and this fall she heads out on tour with a stop here in Philly! She’ll be headed to The TLA on October 3rd and she’s bringing along special guests Elliphant and FEMME for what is sure to be a great night of female vocal power.

Charli XCX, born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, hails from England. She began writing music when she was just 14 years old. In 2007, when she was only 14, Charli XCX began recording her debut album with money she loaned from her parents. She posted the music to MySpace and garnered some attention for herself.  In 2011, she began gaining attention for several music publications, who recognized her talent despite her lack of an official debut album. In 2012, she released her debut EP, You’re the One. Head to The TLA to see what Charli XCX has in store for us this fall!

Openers for Charli XCX will be Elliphant, a Swedish pop artist. She released her debut EP in January of last year. In October, she released her debut album, A Good Idea. Also opening for Charli XCX on her upcoming tour is FEMME, born Laura Bettinson. Just like Charli XCX, FEMME hails from London. She began writing music at 16 and just recently received a Best New Emerging International Artist Award. Don’t miss out on these exciting acts. Get there early to check out Elliphant and FEMME this October!
