It was just a year ago that Julian Casablancas announced said side project. Their debut album, Tyranny, finally has a release date, and it comes just in time for their fall performance. Grab the album when it drops on September 23rd. And then catch the guys when they head to Philly on October 16th. The Philly dates comes in addition to other previously announced fall tour dates for the group.
The new project started out to mixed reviews when Julian Casablancas took the band to SXSW this past March. And the negative reviews continued to come. Thankfully, things seem to be improving for the rock veteran. At his recent hometown slot on the Gov Ball lineup, Julian Casablancas proved that he is ever the rock star. Perhaps the New York vibe was exactly what Casablancas needed. It will definitely be interesting to see what he and the Voidz have in store for audiences this fall.
