Rising star Charli XCX has announced a headlining tour in North America this fall after being a part of two essential songs for summer 2014.
Charli XCX is featured on the Iggy Azalea mega-hit “Fancy,” as well as having her own track, “Boom Clap,” appear on the soundtrack for The Fault in Our Stars. The latter song has a music video set in Amsterdam, with clips from the movie adding context to the scene. The singer-songwriter was working on a punk album that expressed her distaste for the music industry, but has also been working on an album with Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo and Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij, so it’s unclear if she will be releasing two albums by the end of the year.
