Broken Bells are headed out on a fall tour that will see them traveling around North America throughout August, September, and October. They’ll be here in Philly in September when they perform at The Electric Factory. Providing support will be Hamilton Leithauser (formerly of The Walkmen). Catch Broken Bells when they hit the stage on September 27th!
The masterminds behind Broken Bells, James Mercer (of The Shins) and super producer Danger Mouse, released their sophomore album earlier this year. After the Disco was the much anticipated follow up to 2010’s self-titled release. This was the duo’s first release since their 2011 EP Meyrin Fields. Broken Bells played a show at The Troc back in March. Their last Philly performance featured a mix of old songs and new songs, so we can expect much of the same at their upcoming gig.
This time, Hamilton Leithauser will be providing support. The former frontman for The Walkmen released his debut solo album, Black Hours, in the beginning of June. Danger Mouse isn’t the only one collaborating with The Shins. Leithauser’s new album features various collaborations including Richard Shift of The Shins. Leithauser has been on his own since The Walkmen announced they would be going on an “extreme hiatus” in November 2013. He performed a Free at Noon at World Cafe Live in May and he had a performanceat Prince Music Theater in June. Catch Hamilton Leithauser when he opens for Broken Bells in September!
