The Casket Girls is a trio from Savannah, Georgia. The trio formed when Ryan Graveface met sisters Elsa and Phaedra Greene. The trio formed by accident. Graveface was visiting his future home, and stumbled upon two girls playing autoharp and singing bizarre songs. He watched them as they continued playing, and then approached them with the idea of starting a band.

The Casket Girls debut album, Sleepwalking, was released in 2012. The trio embarked on a tour shortly after. The casket girls have a unique sound which is composed of the girls haunting and upbeat pop sensibility, and Ryan’s inspired instrumental musings. The girls and Ryan contrast each other in a way where one would wonder how one could exist without the other.

Their latest album, True Love Kills the Fairy Tale, was released this year. AllMusic describes the albums of consists of “spooky, misty, ghost-in-the-graveyard qualities of its predecessor (Sleepwalking), but the overall feel is far more dreamy and textural, offering something more spirited than emotionally uneasy.
