Zola Jesus (née Nika Roza Danilova) has just announced her fourth album, Taiga, set for release in October 2014. Little is known about the upcoming release except what we can hear on the new album trailer, which features 50 seconds of lush, atmospheric beats.

Taiga follows 2013’s Versions, an album of live, orchestral reinterpretations of her (relatively straightforward) 2011 synthpop album Conatus. Zola Jesus has been pretty busy for the last three years — collaborating with M83, performing at the Guggenheim — but it’s exciting that she’s finally back to her own original music.
