J. Mascis Announces New Album Tied To A Star For August 2014 Release

Singer, songwriter and guitarist J. Mascis will be releasing his latest solo album Tied To A Star on August 25 in Europe and August 26 in North America, via Sub Pop Records.

J. Mascis has had a busy year, and it won’t be slowing down anytime soon. He worked on The Golden Age of Glitter, Sweet Apple’s album, which dropped in April. Also that month, Fucked Up released collaborative track with Mascis entitled “Led By Hand.” His project Heavy Blanket, with Graham Clise, is also working with Earthless to release an album in July.

The upcoming album has guest appearances by Ken Maiuri of Young@Heart Chorus, Pall Jenkins of Black Heart Procession, Mark Mulcahy of Miracle Legion and Chan Marshall of Cat Power.
