Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s to Perform “41 Strings” With Members of The xx, Savages, and More

Yeah Yeah Yeah’s guitarist Nick Zinner has announced a scheduled performance of his piece
“41 Strings” with members of The xx, Savages and more!

Back in 2011, the prolific Nick Zinner created a piece called “41 Strings” in honor of Earth Day’s 41st Anniversary. The track was intended to be performed by 45 musicians, and Zinner announced that on June 20th, he will perform an conduct the piece in the UK for the first time. The event will be held in London’s Southbank Centre, where he will be joined by a hugely impressive roster of musicians. To begin, his Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and mate Brian Chase is set to play, as well as guitarist Romy Madly Croft of UK sensation The XX. Punk pioneer Gemma Thompson of the Savages will also be making an appearance, as well as Jeff Wootton and Seye from Damon Albarn’s band. Akira Bharoocha and Ben Vida from Soft Circle have also confirmed the performance, but to see the full list check out the interview below.
