Jenny Lewis has shared the first single from her new album, “Just One of the Guys”.
Jenny Lewis dropped “Just One of the Guys”, the first single from her upcoming album The Voyager,which is set for release on Warner Brothers July 29th. Impressively, Lewis also announced that it was produced by Beck, whom the singer collaborated with on her forthcoming album. Although she is well known as former frontwoman of Rilo Kiley, Lewis has dipped her able hands in several pots since her 2008’s solo effort Acid Tongue, which was followed by 2010 I’m Having Fun Now, under the name Jenny and Johnny (a collaboration with Johnathan Rice). Rice and Lewis composed the score and a few songs for the soon to be released film “Song One,” starring Anne Hathaway- and this is not even to mention her work with The Postal Service!
The lyric video is now available as well, and if you want to catch her next, she will be on June 5ths episode of “Comedy Bang! Bang!”. The eclectic singer will be backing up Zach Galifianakis as he performs “Camptown Races”. Lewis will also be making an appearance on the June 5 episode of IFC’s “Comedy Bang! Bang!”, singing backup for Zach Galifianakis as he peforms a rendition of “Camptown Races”. Don’t miss it!
