Blake Shelton is an American country music singer. In 2011, Shelton made his debut with the single “Austin.” This was the single off of his self-titled debut album. “Austin” spent five weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The album was certified gold and the album produced two more Top 20 hits. The self-titled debut was released on Giant Records. Shortly after Shelton transferred to Warner Bros. Records when Giant Records closed in late 2011.

Shelton’s second and third albums were, The Dreamer (2003) and Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill (2004). Both of the albums were certified gold. His fourth album, Pure BS (2007), consisted of a cover of Michael Buble’s hit song “Home” as one of the bonus tracks. Later releases consisted of his album, Startin’ Fires (2008) and two EPs Hillbilly Bone and All About Tonight in 2010. His latest two albums, Red River Blue and Based on a True Story were released in 2011 and 2013. Overall, Blake Shelton has charted 24 country singles, including 11 Number One hits. He has been nominated five times for a Grammy Award.

Shelton is well known for his judge position on the television singing competitions Nashville Star, Clash of the Choirs and The Voice. Shelton is also the husband of country singer Miranda Lambert.
