If you could use the words upbeat or go-lucky to describe a Fucked Up track, it would definitely be “Sun Glass”. Still a fast paced punk song that features lead singer Damian Abraham’s coarse screaming vocals, the backing instrumentals are still a little softer around the edges than the average hardcore track. Directed by Andy Capper and the bands own Mike Haliechuck, the video features Abraham and the rest of the band in a feel-good summer vibe à la punk rock; walking through cemeteries, skating, chewing bubble gum, and smoking weed gleefully, the crew just want to have a good time. It’s capped off with footage from a raucous performance.

The four piece Toronto-based band dropped the sixth album in their Zodiac series, Year of the Drago. They recently released a track with J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., “Led by Hand”, with an accompanying video to promote their June 3rd drop of their upcoming album, Glass Boys. They have already given us a taste with their first single off the albun, “Paper House”, and we can’t wait to see what happens next!
