Joel Thomas Zimmerman, the man behind the mask of deadmau5, responded to Butler’s remark with a Twitter attack (below), but it did nothing in stopping Arcade Fire’s feelings on the matter. Who knows where this artist feud will end up next. In the meantime, Arcade Fire continue their Reflektor tour, having just wrapped surprise show at the Roxy last Monday night, and it will soon take them to Glastonbury. Deadmau5 is doing much of the same, coming down from his set at last month’s Ultra Music Festival, then heading to the Pukkelpop fest in August.
