Brit popster Charli XCX continues to spread her songwriting genius all over the globe, this time with a song of her own. Her latest single “Boom Clap” is set to be featured on the soundtrack for The Fault In Our Stars, an upcoming teen romance featuring Shailene Woodley that’s out June 6th.
Charli XCX is still receiving high praise for last year’s True Romance, which featured such catchy singles as “SuperLove”. She also helped pioneer Icona Pop’s widespread success with the writing of “I Love It” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.” The popularity of both left mxdwn thrilled to get the chance to interview Charli XCX last April.
The pop sensation is yet to reveal full details on her next album, but we have learned she’s worked with Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo and Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij on it. For what could be a sampling of what’s to come, check out “Boom Clap” below.
